Me and You

You called it a drag,

This thing we do.

Back and forth

Over the fractures between me and you.

I need love

To make it through the day.

No matter how much

You might turn and back away.

Your trauma-

Buried underneath an undeniable charm,

Keeps surfacing more and more,

Doing irreparable harm.
