Poor Decisions

“Each and every one of us is to blame. Look around the room and see the faces of the guilty. Don’t avert your gaze-this is about accountability. We all played a part in the shitshow that just went down and there’s no finer time to redress that than now.”

“First off, I believe it’s fair to say that we should never have sent the letter with our demands, however righteous we felt they were. I’m glad to see a few heads nodding in agreement. Let’s continue with the post mortem then.”

“What did we do next? We waited a few days then we posted that anonymous video and linked it to the company’s homepage. Definitely exacerbated a tense situation with that move. Despite the public sympathy it engendered we didn’t actually gain anything concrete by doing it. Plus, they knew it had to be someone with technical access to the IT infrastructure. A pretty short list and we know how that turned out.”

“Which leads us to why we’re all barricaded in here now. No guns people. Of any kind, but especially not the rifles. Never a good move, as we can plainly see. Police, felonies, and financial ruin await all of us. I suggest we calmly walk out of here, one-by-one, with our hands up and pray that they don’t light us up when we get on the other side of those doors. Are you with me?”
