“The last time we tried this it didn’t end well. I’m astounded you would come back here, particularly after what you did, and expect that I would entertain any of your propositions. You’re arrogant and also have zero self-awareness, which is a losing combination in my book.”

“I have tried to be forgiving since I’ve seen what grudges can do to a person, but in your case my caution is only a matter of prudence. You can’t be trusted with my family or any of my friends, so thinking I would help you again is insulting.”

“I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that you’re not offering up a defense for this nonsense. It’s not that you know I’m right. It’s that you are too much of a worm to even try to rationalize your actions. You can go now.”
