Norman Wants a Word with You

You had your chance. Not many people end up in your position, when you think about it. And that’s the point-you didn’t act when it was necessary and now all you can do is think about the lost opportunity.

My life is winding down. I’m retired and on so many medications it’s a wonder the side effects alone haven’t put me in the ground. But you have so much ahead of you, even after this colossal fuckup. Why don’t you take the time to plot out your next move? Resolve to be bold.

People don’t expect much from you now. It’s a natural consequence that you’d best accept so you can go forward. Do the thing that startles you, the thing that scares you the most. Because I can guarantee you that you won’t regret trying something new, only that you will regret laying down and accepting the rut you’re in today.
