“I never really figured him out. We were together for almost a year, but there was always a part of him that was like a walled garden. I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt by calling it a garden, to be sure, but that somehow fits. He was charming when he wanted to be, otherwise he was quiet and introspective, which was appealing to me because it made him seem mysterious. “

“I will tell you: I wasn’t the best partner. I didn’t cheat or anything like that. It’s just that I’m not a very sexual person and you know that doesn’t work for most guys. I thought I made up for in a lot of other important ways, but you’d have to ask him if that’s why he left.”

“I’m probably too serious for most men. I don’t put up with games and I have an ambitious career path. But when you add my looks in you’d think I’d be fighting guys off. Yet here I sit, alone.”
