The River

Water.
Rushing, dark green and bubbly
Through the hills and beyond,
On towards the sea.
Death flows along,
At home
With the current that shattered you
And left you alone.
Washed away
With such ease.
A punishing force,
Unchanged by time and man’s attempts to flee.
