No witnesses required.
It’s etched in my brain
All of the villainy that transpired.
There’s what you did, cold and precise,
And all that I saw,
With my unflinching eyes.
There’s always a price to pay
On the road we take,
Even as we struggle not to say
Those last damning words
The unintended
Testament to all of the buried hurt.
