Cling/Laugh

Took some time off
Because my head wasn’t right.
It’s much closer to wrong
Now that I’ve got nowhere I belong.
Take care of yourself.
And it will all work out.
Trite sentiments that ring hollow
That you’re sure to never follow.
People don’t understand,
But when they don’t offer sympathy
You learn it’s all up to you.
All in your hands and all you can do
To build yourself up
When you are tumbling down.
Take hope in small wins
And the humor still alive deep within.
