“At a certain point it no longer becomes about the truth, but what you believe, and if that happens to be the truth then so be it. If not, you carry on, doing what you must to make it through the day. Reflection is a luxury I rarely indulge in. It leads to guilt and recriminations and I have no time for such nonsense.”

We operate on urges, sometimes without even recognizing it. People are afraid to own up to their urges, so they over-analyze situations and drag emotion into everything. Some things are as simple as they seem. Navel-gazing and theorizing is just mental masturbation.”
