Truth

The end comes quicker

Than you’d think,

But not quick enough.

This life is a prison

Made not only of walls, but darker traps

Designed to remind

You that joy is fleeting

And there’s no escape hatch.

It’s a hard lesson,

Whether young or old,

But it’s best to realize

That when the day goes dark

We׳re all left alone with nothing to hold.
