We stumbled back then.
Now we float above,
Reaching out, but never quite touching
All that’s down below.
It’s alright.
It’s good.
We’re different people today.
Unshackled and unbowed.
Free to experience
Each moment for what it is worth.
Letting go of the pain
And embracing
The love we thought we didn’t deserve.
The sky is so bright.
Rays refracting
And turning the blues, all the blues,
Into a wash of warm, white light.
