Who Can You Be?

All that came before
Makes you what you are now.
Tomorrow will come
And you’ll be different somehow.

Similar, but developing.
An instant photo
Filling the frame,
Ever-ready to grow.

Choices and habits
Define the boundaries,
But you get plenty of options
To shape who you hope to be.

Don’t feel like it’s all decided.
Fate is a myth swallowed whole
By those unwilling to realize life is
A challenge, but it’s not all about goals.
