The Way Through

You waited for the cosmos
To stop spinning round,
Knowing it would pause
To reveal your reward, to justify your cause.

Others careened
From debacle to debacle,
But you held strong
Resisting the urge to join in and belong.

Time runs on its inevitable momentum
And we all struggle
To make sense of the pain
Telling us that in this, we are all the same.

You rise above
Or maybe just pull through.
Leading to me believe
There are things I just cannot see.

I reach out to you now
Because I am in a dark tunnel
I never meant to go in.
I need to know how I bring it all to an end.
