The spotlight won’t deter me.
Your brutal beatings don’t work.
A determined man
Is what you see.
Someone whose life is streamlined
Like a long, slim blade
Cutting efficiently, straight to the core.
I’m zeroed in and no longer operating blind.
I’m not what you expect.
I get that all the time,
But when I walk out of the room
I bet you’ll never forget
The damage and the heartbreak
Left in my path.
I am a steel wheel
Rolling on and on, so make no mistake.
Your defenses are down
And you’re put in your place.
An overdue lesson
For too many in this town.
