Days slip away
And add up to a lifetime
When you’ve lost your way.
Wander and fade.
A prisoner with no home
Chained to the choices you’ve made.
You’ll find no pity,
No sympathy, and no friends
In this sprawling dump we call a city.
You lack purpose and drive,
The innate fire
To conquer, to survive.
What will you do?
There can’t be much time left.
Will emptiness be what finally defines you?
