It’s not the unknown you should fear. That’s too vague and imprecise. Fear the decay at your door or the neighbor who won’t look you in the eye. Fear the memories imprinted on you from your brutal father and the uncounted cruelties your despondent mother visited on you. Fear your experience of living in this world. And seize any spark of light.
